“When’s God Gonna Show Up?”

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

A great question, isn’t it? It was asked by a four-year old, who was attending Eucharistic Adoration with his parents. Although Jesus was exposed in the monstrance before him, the boy didn’t recognize him there and wanted to know when God was going to show up. Here’s the article that contains this story, as well as some great reflections about how God does, in fact, show up in our lives all the time.

The Rewards of the Priesthood

Go read what Fr. James Martin, S.J., has to say on why he likes being a priest. This beautiful reflection brought tears to my eyes. Priests have a hard life. They get persecuted unfairly. I think sometimes laypeople don’t hear enough about the rewards of the priesthood. Fr. Martin names some of those rewards in his piece.

God bless you, Fr. Martin, and happy ordination anniversary.
